Bangawoyo!
Welcome to my home on the web. Here you can find some examples of my work, the occasional update, some goodies to take with you, and some obligatory biographical data.
I work at FLO TV as a Sr. Product Mgr. in the User Experience group. FLO TV is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Qualcomm, INC. and is the only end-to-end mobile broadcast TV operator in the U.S.
I take on consulting projects when they're interesting and/or they pay very well. Some of the companies I've done work for are:
| Artisan | Warner Bros. |
| Yahoo! | Nissan |
| Sprint | Alltel |
| ESPN | Caliente |
| Cingular | AT&T |
| MLB | NHL |
| Arista | NASCAR |
| Telfonica | IRL |
| Nextel | Quiksilver |
I'm currently working on products related to digital broadcast, cloud-computing, and social media that are 1-2 years out. Due to my non-disclosure agreement I am unable to share most of what I'm currently working on.

The FLO TV RSE System is an in-vehicle video product featuring the FLO TV mobile broadcast service with dual remote controls and multiple screens. This product is available as an option at new car dealerships nationwide through our partnership with Audiovox, retail electronics stores and as a factory installed option with select manufacturers. I was the lead user experience designer managing all aspects of product and interaction design.

This is the real-time telemetry application NASCAR fans can use to experience the race when they are not in front of the TV or at the track. This has been our most successful product to date, as some of NASCAR's 75 million fans are now devoted users.

Sprint commissioned an exclusively branded NASCAR application for sale on their deck. In addition to a new look, Sprint also required video to be included in this version of the application (previously, NASCAR video was only available on Verizon as individual clips).
Caliente is Mexico's largest sports book. For this project, we designed a mobile application that gives users real-time odds for any sport offered by Caliente (which is all major North American, European, and South American sports) and allows them to place wagers on any of those sports.
YouBet Anywhere was a mobile off track betting (OTB) application for the wireless Pocket PC, with access to hundreds of tracks in the U.S. and Australia. My role for this project was to develop user, technical and business requirements, and shepard the product through the end-to-end design and development phases. Due to the density of information needed for a horse wagerer to make decisions about what to wager, there were several iterations of this product's design: wireframes, data diagrams, and lots of mockups.
NHL TO GO is a polling-based application that updates our NHL fans of all current games and keeps them in the action with IceCast. IceCast shows a real-time view of the rink with X and Y coordinates of each shot taken, along with a log of the time and player who hit the puck or scored.

Novatel Wireless contracted me to design a "Lite" version of their MobiLink Connection Manager. This application is used by consumers of wireless PCMCIA cards for data connections over cell networks and is branded with dozens of different carriers across many countries.
For this project Novatel Wireless contracted me to design new concepts for a Toshiba netbook active notification secondary display. I also created icons for the final commercial product.

todomo was our latin american branded reference design for end-to-end mobile content creation, distribution, and billing. The web-based console allowed any content partner or operator full control over their content, from matching content type to specific devices to creating shortcodes for sms billing. My goal for the design was to abstract out all of the complicated mobile device pecularities (pre-smartphone) and allow the user to focus on what was important to them: selling mobile content in central and south america.
